Key Qualifications:
* Experience as a Database Administrator, focusing on PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS-SQL.
* Background in implementing and leading SRE practices in large or complex teams.
* Hands-on experience with Containers and Kubernetes.
* Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Git, JIRA, Ansible, and CI/CD tools for databases.
Additional Valued Skills:
* Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and migration.
* Experience with data migration tools and software.
* Knowledge of system configuration management tools like Chef and Ansible for database servers.
This role can be based in Knutsford or Glasgow.
Purpose: Apply software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices to ensure system reliability, availability, and scalability.
