CNI Shift Multi‑Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias

We are looking for an experienced Multi‑skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias to work with a prestigious Mitie client to conduct work that provides a multi‑skilled maintenance service, covering electrical and mechanical disciplines, and to provide a reactive and pro‑active maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment on a Critical National Infrastructure site.
You will be responsible for carrying out routine PPM tasks, planned maintenance in line with scheduled dates along with reactive repairs and Electrical Installation work as required. Ensure all documentation is completed correctly for all tasks and that reactive tasks are reported and recorded in the CAFM system. You may also be called upon to assist with general building maintenance activities.
You should carry out work to high standards and in line with current company policies and procedures and report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment. You will be responsible for ensuring own work and work of those under supervision is completed in a safe and diligent manner.
The ideal candidate would have up‑to‑date training including, but not limited to, City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent, 17th/18th edition IEE wiring regulations and experience using a range of maintenance equipment. IPAF 3A & 3B and basic mechanical knowledge is desirable but not essential. They will need to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974). They must be able to read and understand technical drawings, have good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, and be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
The role is for a CNI Shift Engineer “4 on 4 off basis”: 2 days, 2 nights, 7am‑7pm or 7pm‑7am Shift Pattern.

* BMS Knowledge
* Experience of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria
* Physically fit, able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg
* Experience of working in a critical environment/data centre
* Willingness to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and flexibility in working patterns
* Suitable training may be given when needed to ensure competency
