Overview

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Programme/Project Controls Manager to lead teams delivering world class controls services to clients, including cost, schedule, risk, change and reporting. Reporting to the PMO Director, you will ensure deliverables meet contractual and business standards, keep projects within approved time and cost limits, and align with client strategy and budget. You will collaborate closely with the client and internal project management teams, supporting cross-functional groups to implement effective project controls related to scope, time, cost, and quality. You will build strong relationships with the delivery team and provide performance insights to track progress, success, and areas needing attention. Your leadership will inspire and coordinate the team to achieve goals and deliver tangible results.


Responsibilities

* Lead teams to deliver controls services across cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting for projects.
* Collaborate with client and internal project management teams to implement effective project controls related to scope, time, cost, and quality.
* Ensure deliverables and outputs meet contractual and business standards; keep projects within approved time and cost limits.
* Provide performance insights, track progress, and identify areas needing attention; coordinate tactical and strategic support to achieve goals.
* Lead and coordinate project controls activities, including cost management, scheduling, risk management, change control, and reporting.


Qualifications

* Leadership skills: Proven experience in spearheading teams and advising senior colleagues to meet business objectives.
* Project controls expertise: Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards across all phases.
* Schedule and change management: Ability to implement effective schedule management and change control processes.
* NEC contracts knowledge: Solid understanding of NEC contracts.
* Qualifications: Degree educated and holding appropriate professional membership.
* Best practice knowledge: In-depth knowledge of policies, processes, and procedures for effective management.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting at senior levels.
* Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Primavera P6, Safran, ThinkProject/CEMAR, and Microsoft Suite up to PowerBI.


Location and work arrangement

Ideal base locations include London, Reading, Birmingham, or Bristol. Regular site visits will be required. Jacobs operates a hybrid work environment with a 40-hour working week as standard.
