We are looking to strengthen our Delivery team with an Apprentice Project Controls Technician based at Derby.
You will report directly to the Planning Manager and you will start your journey in our Derby office where you will gain experience and training in the planning and control of design and construction work on our programme of projects.

Working across several projects your Key responsibilities with Training, Support and Guidance will be:
1. Support the project and planning team to help drive projects through building effective project schedules; understanding the linkage between activities.
2. Maintain the project schedule in accordance with planning and control processes and contractual requirements. Facilitate the acceptance of the project plan by making sure the plan embraces the full project work scope and is in line with the PMO control standard and NEC 4 contract requirements.
3. Monitor, control and analyse project programmes. Produce reports to confirm the programme or project cost and schedule performance. Carrying out critical path and variance analysis and driving corrective actions to help maintain plans and to deliver on time.
4. Assist in the resource and cost loading of programmes when required.
5. Attend monthly meetings for associated projects to ensure understanding of overall progress and developments.
6. Identify the impacts of change events and impacts on the schedule baseline
7. Ensure the reasons for, and the factors influencing each change to the project baseline plan and the implications of such a change are understood and communicated with the wider project team.
8. Developing key relationships with estimating teams, site teams, clients, design teams, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders
9. Attend collaborative planning and production control meetings to help drive efficiency and help collate key measurements such as PPC and reasons for non-completion of tasks for learning and improvement.
