At Artist Residence Bristol, we're looking for a rockstar chef who can jump in, own their shifts, and keep the kitchen running smoothly with energy, pride, and efficiency. This is an hourly role (minimum 30 hours per week) – ideal if you don't want a full-time commitment but still love smashing out service with enthusiasm.
The Role
As Chef / Kitchen Manager you'll take charge of the kitchen during your shifts, making sure everything is prepped, clean, organised, and running on point. Whether you're flying solo on quieter days or leading a small team at the weekend, you'll set the standard and keep things moving with confidence.
You'll be responsible for:
* Running your shifts with energy, efficiency, and high standards
* Maintaining top Health & Safety, EHO and food hygiene practices
* Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and well maintained
* Managing orders, stock, prep, and wastage with a smart, efficient approach
* Cooking and serving great food to consistent standards
* Working flexibly – including weekends (essential)
About You
* A confident, enthusiastic chef with a love for well-run kitchens
* Naturally organised, tidy, and efficient – you take pride in your work
* Experienced in Health & Safety and compliance
* Reliable and flexible, with a positive, can-do attitude
* Equally happy working solo or as part of a team
