The School of Arts, English and Languages seeks to appoint two Lecturers in Film Studies. The successful candidates will have experience of filmmaking and have a strong track record of recent research outputs in line with the School's research strategy. They will be required to teach filmmaking on the undergraduate Film Studies and Production pathway and the MA in Film, and contribute to School administration and outreach activities.
About the person:
* Have or about to obtain a PhD in Film/Screen Media.
* A record of internationally excellent practice research outputs and/or research publications in current and emerging Film/Screen Media practice, appropriate to career stage.
* Demonstrate ability to make funding applications.
* Demonstrate knowledge of the broader field of film and screen industries.
* Relevant teaching experience to at least degree level in any two of the following key crafts in film production:
o Directing
o Producing
o Scriptwriting
o Editing and post-production (including motion graphics, visual effects, and colour grading)
o Audio post-production and sound design
