We are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Head Teacher (Temporary / Interim) to support a specialist education school in Worcester, working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is an excellent short-term opportunity to join a Good-rated school with a strong ethos, providing leadership support during a period of transition and development. The role is initially for 4 weeks, with a strong likelihood of extension depending on service needs.
The Role
As Interim Deputy Head Teacher, you will:

Support the Head Teacher in the day-to-day leadership and operational running of the school
*
Provide visible, hands-on leadership to staff teams
*
Support teaching, learning, and behaviour across the school
*
Ensure safeguarding, compliance, and SEND best practice are upheld at all times
*
Contribute to maintaining standards in line with Ofsted expectations
This role would suit an experienced Deputy Head or senior leader with a background in specialist, SEN, or alternative provision settings.
Contract & Pay

Day rate: Up to £450 per day (DOE)

Contract: Initial 4 weeks, with likely extension

Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Deputy Head Teacher or in a senior leadership role
*
Strong experience within SEN / specialist education settings
*
Excellent safeguarding knowledge
*
Ability to provide immediate, confident leadership
*
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
