Job Purpose To deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals within their own homes. The role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and overall quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, daily living activities, and providing emotional support, all in accordance with individual care plans. Key Responsibilities * Provide respectful and dignified personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting. * Support clients with mobility needs, using appropriate aids and equipment as required. * Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate hydration. * Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and company policies. * Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental and emotional wellbeing. * Help with light household chores such as cleaning and laundry. * Observe and report any changes in clients’ health, wellbeing, or environment to the care coordinator. * Keep accurate, up-to-date records of care and support provided. * Adhere to all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality procedures. Essential Skills & Personal Qualities * Kind, patient, and empathetic approach to care. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. * Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. * Willingness to travel between clients' homes. Qualifications & Requirements * No formal qualifications required—full training provided. * NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable). * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred). * Enhanced DBS check (required). * Legal right to work in the UK.
