The Opportunity
We’re seeking aDental Hygienist to join us on a Tuesday for 12 months, on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care while enjoying clinical autonomy in an inclusive and professional environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality hygiene treatments, including scaling, root planing and preventative care
* Carry out detailed patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical records
* Use modern equipment such as EMS Airflow, Cavitron and intra-oral cameras with confidence
* Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health in a clear, supportive way
* Maintain strict infection control and sterilisation procedures
* Work closely with dentists and colleagues to ensure seamless patient care
* Manage your clinical diary effectively to optimise patient flow
* Contribute positively to a supportive, team-oriented environment
* Stay up to date with ongoing professional development
What We’re Looking For
* Current HCPC registration
* Enhanced DBS clearance
* Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
* Proficiency with modern dental equipment and software
* Strong understanding of infection control protocols
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexible and adaptable approach
* Experience in private practice
* Knowledge of periodontal treatment approaches
* Familiarity with dental software systems
* Commitment to CPD and ongoing learning
* Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues
