Electrician

Up to £41k basic per year, plus van, fuel card, uniform, tools, PDA.
Call out and overtime available
08:00 - 17:00 Mondays to Fridays
Reed Recruitment are recruiting for electricians on a permanent basis for our reputable and established client who offers social housing responsive repairs and maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Electrical tests and inspections
2. Reactive repairs and fault finding
3. Full domestic electrical rewiring
4. Electrical installation to kitchens and bathrooms
5. Electrical installation of domestic heating systems
6. Diagnose and rectify faults within core field of expertise
7. Respond swiftly to all emergency situations and resolve them efficiently
8. Undertake all work efficiently and cost effectively, minimising non-productive time wherever possible, and reporting any difficulties encountered to the Resource Controller and/or Supervisor
9. Apply Company Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed
10. Maintain accurate records of works undertaken, with photographic evidence as necessary
11. Maintain tools, plant and equipment in a safe, clean and workable condition
SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Able to use the phone to communicate effectively, explaining yourself clearly and concisely understanding what information you need or need to provide
2. Be comfortable in dealing with tenants and remain professional, even when issues are contentious, especially when explaining works to tenants
3. Have a practical approach to health and safety, ensuring you and others are always safe
4. CSCS card would be an advantage
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
1. NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Electrical
2. 18th Edition wiring Regulation
3. Testing and Inspection 2391 or equivalent 2394 -2395
4. Full current driving licence - no more than 3 points
5. A DBS check is required before commencement of role
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
1. 2-5 years of working in Social Housing or Building Maintenance environment
