Leeds Trinity University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to deliver on programmes across the School of Children, Young People and Families. Situated within the growing Faculty of Health, Wellness and Life Sciences, the schools current portfolio of taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes have been designed to support local, regional, and national workforce demands and help shape the future children’s workforce. It would be advantageous for candidates to demonstrate knowledge and experience in one of the following specialisms; Mental Health, Trauma informed practice, SEND and Children and Family practice.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum and be involved in teaching across the entire portfolio both face to face and online, enabling our students to have clear understanding of the required values, knowledge and skills to effectively and professionally support children and their families to overcome the challenges they face.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of student education within a relevant setting and be prepared to teach broadly across the spectrum of children, young people and families programmes within the faculty. You will have demonstrable knowledge, experience and skills within the field of either SEND, Children’s Mental Health, or trauma informed practice and hold a Postgraduate degree in a related subject area, or equivalent. In addition, you will provide pastoral and subject student support, supervise projects and placements, and undertake administrative and managerial tasks associated with the above. You will also undertake research/knowledge exchange and/or professional practice and scholarship commensurate with the post to which you are appointed.
