WHAT'S THE ROLE?

At Hilti, people sit at the heart of everything we do—and as our In House Legal Counsel specialising in Employment and Business Governance, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding and empowering our team across Great Britain and beyond. WHAT YOU'LL DO

In this varied and impactful role you will:

* Partner with our HR team to anticipate, identify, and manage emerging legal and contentious people issues.
* Support the wider business by reviewing, advising on, and negotiating a range of governance topics—including indirect procurement, company records, and Health & Safety coordination
* Engage and act as an interface with the Corporate Legal Department of Hilti Corporation.
* Select and steer outside counsel as required
* Be an active member of Hilti's Legal & Compliance team based in Central Manchester

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

* Full legal qualification with hands-on experience of employment law in the UK
* Experience in tribunal claims or disputes, and/or dispute resolution
* Experience in a legal department of a multi-national company or an international law firm
* Entrepreneurial, target-oriented way of thinking; strong communication skills; team player with self-dependent work-style; ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

The above are the essential criteria for the role and we encourage you to apply if you meet them. The nice-to-haves are:

* Admission as solicitor or Barrister for England and Wales
* Post-graduate degree such as MBA, LL.M. or admission to the bar of a foreign jurisdiction
* Relevant experience in a related industry sector
