Role: HR Advisor
Base Location: THG Omega, Address: Skyline Dr, Burtonwood, Warrington WA5 3TP
This role is dual-site with the expectation to be at our site in Tywyn (LL36 9LW) every other week for a minimum of 1 day.
Reporting to: HR Business Partner
About the Role:
THG Nutrition is looking to recruit an HR (People) Advisor to join the team focussing solely on our manufacturing business in Tywyn, Wales - Brighter Foods.
(Note: where business need requires, you may be asked to assist the team working on our other manufacturing businesses)
The HR Advisor will report into the HR Business Partner and support them in key areas including employee relations cases, data analysis and project work plus support the wider group with HR-related activities. Providing advice and guidance to staff and managers and work with them to ensure they follow processes and procedures.
Role Responsibilities Include:
Employee Relations:
1. Take responsibility for the management of all core ER cases across business areas including all sickness cases, flexible working requests, performance management plans, grievance and disciplinary processes.
2. Welfare / OH referral / Risk Assessments / Amended duties / Capability processes
3. Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and managers as required
4. Liaise with the HR Business Partner to ensure appropriate support is provided to THG on complex ER issues
5. Champion the development of people management skills across the Group.
6. Management of Parental Leave across business areas.
Performance Management:
7. Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing their people management/leadership skills and constructively challenging inappropriate behaviours/actions
8. Ensure all cases of formal performance management are documented and recorded in line with internal audit requirements
Engagement & Development:
9. Support with creation and roll out of engagement activities
10. Develop Managers and colleagues in coaching skills and our people processes
11. Support the delivery of the local induction as required
12. Delivery of HR module training to internal management team
13. Support positive D&I culture within the wider team
Stakeholder Partnerships:
14. Manage, support and develop the People Assistants
15. Work closely with wider People Team (Payroll/T&A/Shared Service/People Data) to ensure an accurate and timely input of all payroll information on to the system in line with deadlines
16. Provide advice and guidance to staff and managers and work with them to ensure they follow processes and procedures
17. Weekly Agency Meetings
18. Data Analysis
19. Attrition analysis
20. Exit Interviews and associated action planning
21. Following up on data trends coming out of KPI pack
To be considered for this role you should have the following Skills and Experience
22. At least two years HR experience
23. Clean UK Driving License
24. Experience advising managers and stakeholders on HR policies and procedures
25. Experience managing HR cases, within warehousing or manufacturing environment is desirable
26. Strong technical skills and a good working knowledge of current employment legislation
27. Strong listening and problem-solving skills
28. Strong relationship building skills
29. Ability to analyse data and summarise key findings
30. Good communication and data presentation skills
31. Capable of working using your own initiative
32. Flexible and adaptable
33. Level 5 CIPD Qualification
34. You will also need to be happy to travel every other week to LL36 9LW and occasionally to the different sites across the UK as and when required by the business.
