INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER
We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer for our client, an Oil and Gas Operator, on a contract basis based in London, UK.

12 Months (renewable)
Schedule: Mon - Fri (resident)
Principal Responsibilities
1. Ensure proper design implementation for Instrumentation Engineering of the Project.
2. Oversee and review the EPC Contractor's ISBL/OSBL instrumentation engineering scopes of work.
3. Review and approve approximately 5,000 technical documents related to instrumentation.
4. Review contractor and vendor-produced instrument data sheets for various instruments and systems, including flow, pressure, temperature, level, process analyzers, control valves, safety valves, tank gauging, HIPPS, Fire and Gas detectors, and bulk materials.
5. Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for DCS/ESD/F&G systems with Automation Engineers.
6. Participate in P&ID reviews, HAZOP, and safety review meetings.
7. Coordinate with Contractor Instrumentation Engineering site leads to ensure efforts are aligned and issues are addressed.
8. Identify operational risks and opportunities related to Instrumentation design, working with Process Safety to ensure safety measures are in place.
9. Oversee planning and execution of Contractor activities related to Instrumentation engineering, with an understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and procurement processes.
10. During site activities, respond promptly to queries, oversee rectification of punch list items, on-site testing, and erection of equipment.
Experiences / Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
* Chartered Engineer registration, PE, or equivalent preferred.
* 10+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas and large projects.
* Supervisory experience in plant and project engineering.
