Technical Planner, On-Wing Services

Responsibilities
* Development, production, and publication of technical work instructions between customer and service team for tasks in accordance with Airworthiness regulations.
* Conduct a technical review of customer work request.
* Engage with OWS’ service partners for the provision of resource, capability, tool, and spare/materials as required.
* Lead the resolution of customer operational problems.
* Process customer invoices as required.
* Monitor OWS’ service partner performance to ensure service partners’ performance meets contractual obligation.
* Agree the scope of tasks with customers or customer teams.
* Support any audit and/or quality investigation.
* Assist the business as required in improving service delivery to ensure optimization of OWS tasks.
* Champion key processes/tools or be a recognized technical specialist to support business unit requirement.
* Developing, maintaining, and reporting approved metrics.
Who we’re looking for
* Strong services and/or technical background.
* IT literate and comfortable using IT systems and tools for the planning and scheduling of tasks and resources.
* Experience of planning activities and tasks in a dynamic and pressurized environment to support customer needs professionally, and the ability to work in a calm and efficient manner.
* Customer focused and able to work in a changing environment, being flexible and responsive in approach to deal with requests of the customers and third parties.
* Good understanding of overall project controls, baseline management and change control.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision to tight timescales and capable of managing several tasks simultaneously, prioritizing activity to meet deadlines and achieving high quality outputs on time.
* Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate within a in a broad and complex organization both internally and externally.
* Highly organized with the ability to change pace and direction in response to emergent issues, remain calm under changing circumstances and deal positively with uncertainty and ambiguity.
Desirable
* University studies (or equivalent) in engineering major or equivalent.
* Proven knowledge in Aircraft & Engine maintenance planning, ideally in shop or line maintenance environment.
* Background or experience in civil aviation including engine maintenance.
* Familiarity with Part 145 regulations and the appropriate knowledge, background, and experience
* Professional qualification in project planning and/or project management
* Invoicing and contract administration experience in an Aviation related environment.
