Join Thames Water as a Network Service Technician, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and resolving issues within our clean water network, ensuring minimal disruption to customer supply across the Thames Valley area.
This is a varied, field-based role combining customer service, technical problem-solving, and network maintenance. You’ll be the face of Thames Water to many of our customers, helping with anything from pressure issues to emergency repairs.
Base Location: Highworth - SN6 7NA, but you will cover the Thames Valley area.
Working Pattern: 38 hours/week + rota. (1 in 8 late shifts & standby)
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience) + a Van and a fuel card!
Requirements: A clean UK driving license and be happy to drive between jobs.
What will you be doing as a Network Service Technician
1. Operate and isolate water mains for planned or emergency works.
2. Own and resolve customer queries and complaints.
3. Support project work and leakage detection activities.
4. Investigate and resolve network performance issues.
5. Ensure compliance with health & safety and water quality standards.
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
6. Full UK driving licence (essential).
7. Strong customer service experience in a dynamic environment.
8. Plumbing, water mains, or leakage experience. (advantageous)
9. IT literacy and good time management.
10. Positive attitude and a can-do approach.
