Overview
Senior Business Development Manager - North East. Based in Leeds, you will play a crucial role in PwC’s Regional market growth programme, spearheading growth strategies across the North East (Leeds, Yorkshire, Newcastle, Humber) by identifying and nurturing relationships with businesses, especially those in the private sector, including privately owned and private equity-backed enterprises. You will be supported by a highly specialised team and work closely with business leadership across your territory.

Responsibilities
* Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain robust, trust-based relationships with C-suite executives across various industries. Communicate confidently about intricate business matters to unlock new avenues for business development.
* Strategic Sales Leadership: Utilise extensive sales experience to secure high-quality meetings, engage clients with our propositions, and facilitate conversions that drive profitable growth for the firm.
* Market Insight & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of market trends and leverage insights to enhance go-to-market strategies; serve as the region\'s expert and collaborate with internal teams.
* Networking & Collaboration: Leverage your network to develop relationships with key intermediaries and influencers within the regional ecosystem to keep the firm at the forefront of opportunities.
* Team Empowerment: Guide and mentor internal teams, upskill on our sales methodologies, and foster a culture of sales excellence through leadership.
What You’ll Need / Qualifications
* Demonstrable success in a sales-focused role, consistently meeting or exceeding targets within a business development setting.
* Comprehensive understanding of private market dynamics, particularly within fast-growing, private equity-backed, and family-owned enterprises.
* Track record and genuine interest in using cutting-edge technologies to drive client outcomes and maximise value for internal stakeholders.
* Ability to conduct insightful, human-led, tech-enabled conversations that resonate with clients and partners.
* Natural team player with strong influencing and coaching capabilities; able to navigate complex organisational structures.
* High levels of commercial insight and understanding of strategic business drivers to assess and mitigate client risks.
* Thrives in a changing environment with the ability to pivot quickly to maximise opportunities.
* Willing to develop skills on our learning platform with autonomy and strategic decision-making to achieve outcomes.
