We are looking for a proactive and experienced Corporate Health and Safety Advisor to join a local authority in Hampshire. You will help ensure all Council services meet statutory health and safety requirements while promoting a positive safety culture for staff, contractors, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, review and monitor corporate health and safety policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current legislation.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to managers across service areas.
* Coordinate and deliver in-house health and safety training.
* Monitor and report on health and safety performance.
* Represent the Council at external safety forums and meetings.
What were looking for:
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and CertIOSH membership (essential).
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role and experience of conducting health and safety audits.
* Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
* Excellent communication, training, and report-writing skills.
* Confident working independently and as part of a cross-service team spread across the district.
* Full driving licence.
