Candidate Requirements
* Experience working with residents with dementia
* Genuine interest in residents' wellbeing
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate and work effectively within a team
* Good organizational and time management skills
* Ability to plan and schedule activities
* Commitment to building residents' self-esteem and staying informed about new activities
Role Responsibilities
* Organize and coordinate tailored individual and group activities, including themed events based on holidays and traditions
* Book external entertainment providers
* Organize community outings, considering transport and accessibility
* Plan stimulating activity programs to enhance residents' quality of life
* Maintain records of participation and regularly review residents' needs
* Keep a portfolio of activities available within the home and the community
* Participate in fundraising events as required
Additional Expectations
* Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory and developmental training
* Communicate effectively with staff, relatives, visitors, and professional agencies
* Promote safe working practices within the home
