Overview
A career‑defining opportunity to lead financial strategy at system scale.
North West London Acute Provider Group (APG) unites Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust through shared governance with a single Group Chief Executive and Chair in Common. With a turnover of £4.5bn, we are the largest acute provider system financially across the NHS. Together we operate 12 hospitals, employ 37,000 colleagues and provide innovative, research led care to more than 2.2 million people.
Our shared strategy for 2024–27 is already enabling more consistent pathways, stronger performance and improved patient experience. We are proud to be among the safest hospital systems nationally, and we continue to invest in our digital capability and workforce, including early adoption of the Federated Data Platform to strengthen our operational insight and efficiency.
From April 2026 we will operate as a unified Group. As Group Chief Finance Officer, you will shape the financial strategy that underpins our long‑term sustainability and ensures we use our collective resources wisely. You will work closely with the trust CFOs to embed disciplined financial leadership, support transformation of corporate services and ensure our financial models reinforce high‑quality clinical care. You will also lead on capital strategy, financial planning and commercial development opportunities that support our broader ambitions.
This is a rare opportunity for an outstanding financial leader to influence system‑wide decision making across one of the most significant NHS groups in the country. You will bring strong strategic capability, experience of managing financial performance at scale, and the confidence to operate with credibility at national level. You will also be an inclusive and visible leader who strengthens our culture and fosters collaboration across our teams.
We welcome applicants who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and those who bring varied professional backgrounds or lived experience that will enrich our leadership.
