EL/PL Solicitor | Salary to £70K + Bonus | London
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded defendant personal injury team with a strong reputation for advising on complex and high-profile matters. The team is recognised for its expertise in defending claims, including catastrophic injury cases, and has acted in many significant appellate cases. It advises a broad client base, including insurers, corporate organisations and individuals, offering exposure to varied and interesting work within a collaborative and ambitious environment.
The role will focus on managing a caseload of employer’s liability and public liability matters on behalf of insurer and corporate clients, covering both pre-litigated and litigated claims. These will mainly involve Fast Track and lower-value Multi Track cases, alongside the opportunity to assist on more complex and higher-value claims. The successful candidate will be expected to assess liability, causation and quantum, identify lines of investigation, and work closely with colleagues on technically challenging cases. Experience of handling Human Rights and data breach matters would also be advantageous.
The Candidate
* Solicitor with 2+ years’ post-qualification experience or equivalent
* Experience and interest in personal injury/casualty claims, including EL and PL matters
* Experience handling claims both pre- and post-litigation
* Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development
* Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills
* Confident using case management systems and working towards financial targets
