Forklift Driver – Warehouse & Loading Operative
Job Summary:
A skilled and safety-focused Forklift Driver responsible for operating counterbalance/reach forklifts to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse and onto/off lorries. Ensures efficient handling of stock while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move goods around the warehouse.
* Load and unload lorries, ensuring correct placement and secure positioning of pallets.
* Check incoming and outgoing deliveries against delivery notes and pick lists.
* Stack and store products in racking systems following warehouse procedures.
* Perform daily equipment checks and report defects or maintenance issues.
* Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and general warehouse duties.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
* Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills & Requirements:
* Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance essential/ Reach Truck desirable).
* Proven experience in warehouse operations and lorry loading.
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Working Week:
Monday to Friday with every other Saturday mornings.
We operate and early and late shift -
* Warehouse operations is between the hours of 05:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday.
* Saturdays - 06:00 - Finish (usually by 12:00)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Experience:
* Forklift: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
* Reach Truck Licence – any recognised UK provider (preferred)
* Counter Balance License (required)
