MRDS Group is looking for motivated and experienced Workshop Technicians to join our team in Aberdeen. This is a full-time role for individuals with extensive knowledge of mechanical drilling equipment.
Responsibilities
* Stripping, cleaning, and inspecting drilling equipment in the workshop.
* Interpreting P&ID drawings, engineering drawings, and schematics to guide your work.
* Diagnosing, analysing, and rectifying faults with your technical expertise.
* Utilising precision measuring equipment like micrometers and Verniers.
* Completing job documentation and inspection reports accurately.
* Carrying out function tests on equipment.
* Maintaining high housekeeping standards in the workshop and yard.
* Performing routine maintenance on workshop equipment.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience working on drilling equipment is a significant advantage.
* The ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic problems.
* Previous experience in hydraulics or electrical engineering is a plus.
Qualifications
* You should be a time-served technician with an HNC or equivalent qualification.
* Offshore qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
