Are you an experienced electrician looking for a new journey? If so, come and join our Wiltshire team.
You’ll bring your proven track record of carrying out electrical installations in a domestic dwelling to support the electrical team. Your work is scheduled for you and jobs are shared with you via an electronic handheld device (your PDA), so you’ll be comfortable using technology and IT systems.
You’ll work alone primarily, so you’ll be confident working to your own initiative, but you will get plenty of support from your team. The team get together for team meetings, and you’ll attend toolbox talks for regular training and company updates.
You’ll be given a company vehicle to get around, so you’ll need a full UK manual driving licence. You’ll be about and about working in customers\' homes throughout the region.
You’ll be an ambassador for us with a “can do” attitude and a right service, first time mentality. You’ll enjoy providing high quality service to our customers whilst being the friendly face of Aster.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical installations in domestic dwellings to supported standards and programmes.
* Inspect and test to British standards according to a set programme; advise on progress and complete necessary records in hard and electronic files.
* Work safely in line with safety regulations and health & safety requirements.
* Provide high quality customer service in customers\' homes and act as the company ambassador.
* Coordinate with internal colleagues to ensure works are completed and ongoing works are logged.
* Work autonomously and in a team as needed; participate in an out-of-hours standby rota within the region.
* Utilise a company van and maintain a full UK driving licence; attend toolbox talks and training as required.
About You / Qualifications
* Fully qualified electrician with AM2 qualification or equivalent and demonstrable experience in domestic electrical installations.
* Experience performing inspection and testing to required standards; maintain records in both hard and electronic formats.
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations and health & safety practices; commitment to safety in all works.
* Customer-focused with good problem-solving and installation skills; effective communication in verbal and written form.
* Willingness to engage with colleagues and take part in training; able to meet face fit requirements.
* Willing and able to meet the requirements of a basic DBS check if successful.
* Possess a full UK driving licence and be comfortable working across Wiltshire region.
