We are looking for a motivated, hardworking and flexible person to join the team at Good Small Farms. The role will involve taking responsibility for all sales channels which currently include wholesale, a veg bag scheme and market stalls. We sell direct and so a key part of the role is marketing a clear message of what we stand for and being consistent across all channels.
This role is initially part time (ideally 4-5 hours each day) and will be supported by other members of the farm team. There is scope for this role to expand to full time as the scale of activity and sales increases.
Salary: £13-£15 per hour, 25 hours per week (£29,000 FTE), Permanent
Responsibilities
* Managing the box scheme (buying in veg during the hungry months, curating the box contents)
* Curating the market stalls
* Developing the wholesale channel of local cafés and caterers
* Managing the marketing messages across all channels
* Coordinating pricing and availability with the teams
* Developing systems that streamline sales across different products and channels
* Developing new products
* Seeking collaborations with other producers and processors
Skills and Experience
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience of food sales is essential
* Financial competence
* Eloquent copy writing
* Fantastic customer service skills
* Digital marketing
* Good communication and team‑working skills
* Excellent organisational skills
* A love of the land and our core beliefs
* A sense of humour
