HGV Class 2 Drivers – Refuse Collection
Location: Abingdon (OX14)
Pay: £16.95/hr, with the option to be paid holiday pay upfront, increasing the rate to £18.96/hr
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 06:00 starts, approx. 9-hour shifts
Type: Ongoing work, temp-to-perm opportunities available
Weekend work: May become available depending on workload
We’re recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for refuse collection work in Abingdon. You’ll be joining a leading waste management company committed to transforming waste into valuable resources and reducing environmental impact.
About the role:
* Driving a Class 2 refuse lorry/dustcart
* Assisting loaders with collections from residential areas
* Returning bins to correct locations and completing missed collections where necessary
* Daily vehicle walkaround checks
* Working as part of a small, supportive team
* Full training and PPE provided
Requirements:
* Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence – minimum 6 months’ experience
* CPC and Digi Tacho card
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
* Previous experience in waste/recycling is an advantage
