This includes those who are looking for self-employed work. You will be responsible for teaching adults and children with varying learning or physical abilities/needs to swim (in accordance with Swim England and Institute for Sport guidance), a vital life skill. You will be required to have obtained either the previous Level 2 Swimming Instructors Qualification, or the newly combined National Swimming Instructors Qualification. Those who are currently undertaking their qualification or have been accepted onto a future course may still apply with the understanding; they cannot take up the full role until completion of the course and qualification documents have been received. We are looking for friendly, positive minded instructor who is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. You need to be confident delivering in front of a variety of people and have a passion about your craft. Water safety needs to be at the fore front of your mind, with an eye to be creative with lesson planning and implementation. You will join at an exciting time as the future of sport in Ipswich continues to develop across the town with some big projects on the horizon. You will not be required to work a shift pattern, but shifts they do pick up could include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. DBS clearance is required for this role.
