Kenect Recruitment is seeking a reliable and skilled FLT Driver to join our client's team in Dalkeith. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as the ability to handle materials and equipment effectively.
Responsibilities
* Operate FLT to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner
* Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring safe handling practices
* Assist in materials handling within the warehouse environment
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
Skills
* Strong materials handling skills, including knowledge of safe lifting techniques
* Valid forklift licence is preferred for operating forklifts within the warehouse
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding operational processes
* Ability to load and unload heavy items safely, demonstrating mechanical knowledge when necessary
Hours
* Monday to Friday
* 0800-1615
* £12.50 per hour, paid weekly, PAYE
