Interim Head of Finance | High-Growth Multisite / Real Estate scaleup | London
Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working with one of London's most exciting multisite scaleup operators. The business is founder-led, entrepreneurial, and has recently doubled its portfolio of sites, with further growth planned over the next 36 months.
With multiple UK entities and operations already in the European market, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Interim Head of Finance to take ownership of implementing investor-grade reporting, forecasting, and controls during a key period of scale-up.
The role is initially a full-time, on-site commitment for 2–4 months, before transitioning to a fractional basis (1–2 days per week) to support continuity.
The Role:
Working closely with the Founders and Investors, you will take a hands-on role in shaping the finance function, strengthening month-end processes, and delivering high-quality reporting. You will also lead the development of a 13-week cash flow model, rebuild the long-term forecast, and establish clear KPIs for stakeholders. There is a group reporting structure which also needs some improvements to consolidations so this will form part of the initial assignment.
This is an ideal role for a commercially aware and technically strong qualified accountant who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver investor-grade month-end close and reporting
* Build and implement a live rolling cash flow model with weekly update cadence
* Support with the build out of robust financial controls
* Rebuild and reconcile the long-term forecast model to the business plan, incorporating scenario analysis
* Identify and address control weaknesses, implementing improved governance
* Develop and distribute a concise weekly KPI dashboard (sales, occupancy, operational metrics)
* Assess the Finance Manager's capabilities and make recommendations on future resourcing
* Ensure a comprehensive and clear process are passed onto the team (3 in total)
What We Need (essential):
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or QBE with experience in multisite / real estate / property etc
* Strong technical and operational finance experience, ideally in commercial property, real estate, or multi-entity environments
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
* Experience with group accounting / reconciliations
* Experience implementing reporting and controls in fast-paced, high-growth businesses
* Immediate availability and ability to be office-based near King's Cross
What We Need (non-essential):
* Understanding of IFRS 15/16 would be beneficial
* Past experience with OPCo PropCo structures would be beneficial
* Experience within a Venture Capital (VC) or PE (Private Equity) backed business would be desirable
Day Rate:
£500–£550 per day (Outside IR35)
