JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for the overall and general management of the sales department.
Develop, lead, and motivate a team of salespeople to help drive revenue, set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and ultimately meet customer needs.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensuring that the team targets and KPIs set are achieved.
* Driving and setting up daily, weekly, and monthly targets for the sales team.
* Overall management, recruitment, and development of the sales team.
* Mentoring and motivating staff.
* Driving outreach events and promotions.
* Managing the sales administration process.
* Maintaining consistent target delivery.
* Sustaining optimal team productivity by recruiting on an ongoing basis.
* Generating revenue by increasing membership sales.
* Providing superior member service and member retention.
* Managing risk.
* Upholding the compliance standards set by the organization.
REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
* Grade 12 or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of sales experience (previous experience in Health & Fitness or Hospitality industry preferred).
* Previous management experience and ability to interact at all levels.
* Proven track record of consistent sales achievements.
* Reliable transport and own cell phone essential.
* Must be flexible and adaptable and willing to work retail hours.
* Sound work ethic.
