About the team The Platform Operations team at Roku plays a pivotal role in delivering a seamless end-user experience across our streaming platform. As a central hub, the team collaborates closely with Content Operations, Editorial, Engineering, QA, and Customer Support to ensure the reliability and quality of our service. Roku is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer as part of the Technical Operations Department responsible for the end-user experience of the Roku platform, including TRC (The Roku Channel). You will be working as part of our Global Technical Operations team with the unique opportunity to interact with many different aspects of Roku including, live Operations, advertising operations, Editorial, Engineering, and Customer support. An understanding of Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) is desirable
Prioritize issues for engineering to resolve and facilitating communication to operational and business stakeholders
Work with the broader technical operations team to support Roku infrastructure including Ad services
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve day-to-day issues, some data analysis work will be needed
3 to 5 years of relevant technical experience in video or related technology disciplines
~ Fluent in English
~ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues and work with engineering and business owners
~ Detail-oriented, analytical, methodical and committed to driving quality forward
~ Knowledge of consumer product and user interfaces and networking functionality is a plus
~ Willing to work flexible hours including nights and/or Weekends
~ Bachelor Degree or relevant work experience required
