Legal Operations & Data Retention Analyst Location: Cambridge, Hybrid Department: Legal Operations Job type: Full Time Join us and make a difference when it matters most! The Team The role will join the Legal Operations team at Mundipharma, responsible for managing and supporting data retention activities and related legal operations processes to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, applying established governance frameworks, and supporting projects related to data integrity and retention. Role and Responsibilities Records Governance: Maintain an accurate Company Book and ensure all record-keeping meets established governance standards. Policy Implementation: Apply the Records Retention Policy consistently across the organization using dedicated software and stakeholder engagement. Data Integrity: Conduct routine data quality checks to ensure the high standard of legal and operational records. Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools: Support Legal and Procurement teams with contract databases and streamline the contracting process. Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in data governance and legal operations to drive efficiency. Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary link between Legal, IT, and Compliance to resolve data-related challenges. Project Leadership: Lead small-scale projects and defined workstreams within broader legal operations initiatives. Mentorship & Training: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing informal training and guidance to enhance team capabilities. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and promote adherence to evolving legal and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Support: Assist senior leadership with periodic policy reviews and strategic updates. What you’ll bring Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Law, Company Secretarial, Business Administration, or Data Privacy (or equivalent practical experience). Proven track record in legal operations, paralegal, legal administration or records/data management, ideally within an international context. Subject expertise with deep understanding of records retention principles and data governance frameworks. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IT systems for records management such as Document Management Systems and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools such as Sirion Autonomous with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance, applying best practices to improve existing processes. Strong stakeholder management communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse departments like IT and Compliance. Qualifications such as ICSA/CGI, Legal Practice Certificate, or Legal Operations certifications are highly valued. Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Proactive approach to identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions. Project Management - Basic experience in managing project steps and meeting defined milestones.
