The role
We’re seeking a motivated New Business Account Executive with a background in Motor Trade Insurance (general Commercial considered) to join Jensten Motor Trade, part of the Jensten Group.
We are a leading provider of specialist, exclusive, and cost-effective insurance products to the Motor trade. Our business focuses on providing a “better service” by handling business in-house, without outsourcing.
Reporting to the Director and working closely with our dedicated Account Handlers, you’ll be based in the Midlands, supporting our growth in this region. You’ll work remotely, with visits to prospect clients as needed.
The main purpose of the role is to drive new business and grow a client book in the Midlands area, focusing on growth. Leads will be provided, and you will generate some of your own, while also managing occasional existing clients.
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
1. Offer and present insurance solutions, including policies and risk management, to secure renewals and new business.
2. Support team performance through regular communication with colleagues and managers, raising concerns and providing solutions.
3. Identify and pursue cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, utilizing all provided leads and developing new methods to increase quote volume.
4. Achieve or exceed targets for quotes, sales, and income from all marketing sources, including prospecting activities.
5. Understand clients’ business operations, opportunities, risks, and risk management approaches.
6. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations such as FCA.
About you
You should enjoy connecting with people and creating new business relationships, with a natural flair for sales. You’ll build and strengthen relationships through client visits and regular communication. A passion for providing solutions and spotting opportunities will help both existing and new clients.
As an Account Executive, you will also have:
* Commercial Insurance experience
* A passion for new business development
* Experience in generating new business (preferred)
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Great telephone manner and networking ability
* Drive and eagerness to learn and develop in insurance and sales
* Previous experience working with insurers and clients
* Good attention to detail and ability to multi-task, including updating systems and admin
* Full UK Driving Licence for client visits
