Overview
The East of England Provider Collaborative (the Collaborative) brings together six specialist mental health and learning disability providers across the region. It supports the NHS Long Term Plan and shapes future mental health services. We recently approved a regional Adult Eating Disorder Complex Needs Panel to support consistent, transparent decision‑making on treatment pathways for patients with complex needs.
Position
Independent Chair for the Adult Eating Disorders Complex Needs panel.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate the panel of clinicians and lay members that meets bi‑monthly, ensuring independence, impartiality, and a focus on patient outcomes, safety, and equity.
- Promote high‑quality decision making and ensure recommendations are informed by evidence, multidisciplinary perspectives, and lived experiences of patients and carers.
- Chair panel meetings held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must not be an eating disorder clinician.
- Must not be employed by or under contract for the provider involved in any case reviewed.
- If the chair is from an organisation in the Provider Collaborative and a case from their own organisation is brought to the panel, a deputy will be nominated to act as chair for that meeting.
- Experience in overseeing multi‑agency panels and senior leadership in healthcare.
- Strong facilitation skills and commitment to patient‑centred care.
Compensation
A competitive rate of up to £500 per hour.
