JOB TITLE: Senior HSEQ Advisor JOB LOCATION: Cumbria TERMS: Permanent THE JOB As a Senior HSEQ Advisor, you will support the delivery of an integrated service in all aspects of HSEQ management, including supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans and objectives that support both operational requirements and the Group's governance and assurance framework for health, safety, environmental and quality management. This is a Hybrid role and will involve a balance of working remotely and working from our office based in Cumbria. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Monitor our Build Teams performance against internal HSEQ Inspection KPI's - updates on statistics, following up audit queries, analysing the data for contractor performance reports. Assist with the completion of weekly and monthly Reports to review our partners HSEQ Performance. Completing 10 HSEQ Inspections per month. This will include reviewing performance of VO and its Partners performance. Complete weekly inductions with all new employees and sub-contractors into the business. Attending and input into Project meetings. Act as a coach and mentor our teams on a broad range of HSEQ issues, supporting them in embedding HSEQ policy and process where appropriate. Ensuring compliance with LOLER and PUWER legislation. Review of Construction Phase Plans along with Risk Assessment & Method Statement from Contractors. Assist our Operational teams with the review of PCIP's and Design Risk Registers for compliance with CDM requirements. Assist with the project completion/safety file process in line with client requirements Ensure all HSE Notifications are in place and up-dated for all require projects. Overseeing the completion of Contractor Monthly HSEQ reports - requesting & collecting data and embedding the data into our monthly KPI's. Review all Incident reports, NCR's, Learning Events and liaise with our Build and Design Partners on any future improvements Develop and Promote communications through our HSEQ App, and VO Newsletter. Development of Risk Assessment, Method Statements, Toolbox Talks and assisting with communications of same. Identify areas for HSEQ Improvements and develop Workshops to promote proactive improvements. Co-ordinate the content for the monthly Operational HSEQ Meeting. Development and maintenance of our ISO Policies and Procedures and assisting in ISO Compliance. Keep up to date with legislative compliance register. Oversee the Emergency Preparedness and implementing necessary actions. Monitoring and updating sub-contractor PQQ process. Striving for continuous improvements and problem solving. WHAT WILL YOU BRING? Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and with external bodies. Qualification in a relevant subject related to construction health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) or equivalent qualifications/experience Experience in developing and implementing and 9001 Management Systems. Knowledge and experience of working to the safety at street works and road works: a code of practice 2013. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of managing CDM Requirements. Sound knowledge of HSEQ law, and relevant sector-specific HSEQ standards in relation to construction/building Previous experience in a similar role within telecommunications or construction related industry is an advantage. Ability to convey complex HSEQ information in a clear and concise manner to a diverse audience. Adaptable to changing circumstances and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
