We’re partnering with a forward-thinking food manufacturing site in London to recruit an Engineering Manager into a key position on their Site Leadership Team.
This is a highly visible role offering real influence over performance, people, and long-term site strategy.
You’ll take ownership of the engineering function, leading a small, skilled team of engineers and contractors, while driving reliability, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.
Package: Circa £67,500 base salary + guaranteed 20% bonus making it over £80,000
The Opportunity
This role offers a genuine mix of strategic leadership and hands-on operational impact. You’ll shape the long-term engineering roadmap while ensuring day-to-day maintenance excellence, asset reliability, and production support.
You’ll be trusted to lead CAPEX projects, modernisation programmes, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement — with full backing from the wider leadership team.
What You’ll Be Leading
* A small, multi-shift engineering team plus external contractors
* Site-wide maintenance strategy (PPM, reactive, and reliability-centred)
* CAPEX delivery, asset renewal and site improvement projects
* Engineering support to production, NPD and site upgrades
* Health, Safety & Compliance across all engineering activities
* Site infrastructure including utilities, building fabric and plant systems
You’ll play a central role in minimising downtime, improving efficiency, and ensuring engineering enables production — not restricts it.
What They’re Looking For
* Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Engineering Team Lead role
* Background in manufacturing or fast-paced production environments
* Strong people leader with experience managing a small technical team
* Confident with maintenance strategy, CAPEX, compliance and contractor management
* Proactive, data-driven and improvement-focused
* Comfortable operating at senior site leadership level
