We work closely with the other Paediatric wards, the multidisciplinary team and with tertiary hospitals in the region to ensure children receive a high standard of care and effective treatment close to home.
A positive and progressive attitude is required, along with excellent communication skills and the desire to work in a small friendly team.
Our philosophy is to work closely with families in a friendly environment with a commitment to the provision of high‑quality patient care.
We have a very close‑knit team in paediatric medicine. All three areas work well together under one ward manager. Many staff choose to work a few shifts a month in one of the areas outside of their base ward, as they like the variety, opportunity to learn and to utilise different skills.
