Role Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Teach a curriculum that covers British, European and world history topics, fostering chronological understanding and cultural awareness
* Encourage historical enquiry, interpretation of evidence and debate
* Use a range of teaching strategies to engage pupils of all abilities and backgrounds
* Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and intervention where needed
* Contribute to departmental planning, resource creation and curriculum development
Candidate Requirements
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
✔ A degree in History or a closely related subject
✔ Experience teaching History to GCSE (A-Level advantageous)
✔ Strong subject knowledge and a passion for historical learning
✔ Ability to inspire and motivate pupils through creative lesson delivery
Desirable Experience
* Involvement in extra-curricular or enrichment activities
* Experience with Edexcel or AQA History specifications
