An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and skilled individual to join our team within Campbeltown Hospital as a Band 6 Specialist Dialysis Nurse. The hospital has a two-station dialysis unit that currently operate three days per week. It is linked with the Greater Glasgow & Clyde Renal service, patient care and treatment is overseen by GGC consultants.
The specialist nurse is responsible for the overall management of the dialysis unit to and will undertake the clinical and managerial duties of a senior member of the hospital team. They will ensure that the delivery of a high standard of care is maintained in Dialysis Unit and may assist in co-ordinating and facilitating the training and education for staff and students.
Strong values driven practice and highly developed interpersonal skills are essential for this role as is an ability to work independently. An excellent knowledge of haemodialysis is required as well as significant experience working with a renal dialysis unit.
