We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a school in Watford from February 2026. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in behaviour management, youth work, pastoral care, or mentoring, who are committed to supporting students in overcoming behavioural and emotional barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support and deliver small-group behavioural interventions.
* Help students overcome challenges that impact their learning, focusing on emotional and behavioural needs.
* Mentor students to develop resilience, confidence, and motivation.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to create and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment.
* Record and track behaviour incidents and contribute to targeted intervention strategies.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with young people with behavioural needs in a school or youth setting.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
* Calm, patient, and consistent in your approach to supporting positive behaviour.
* Committed to promoting emotional regulation, resilience, and overall student wellbeing.
* A proactive team player with a growth-oriented mindset.
* Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to apply for one).
