A large, welcoming academy is looking for 12 full-time class teaching assistants to join their team from September 2025.
The Role
The school is looking for multiple teaching assistants to work across both KS1 and KS2. In the mornings, you will be based within a classroom providing learning support to pupils working at all levels. Your role will include supporting the teacher with administrative duties, preparing lessons and activities, and covering break duties. In the afternoons, you will deliver maths, phonics, and literacy interventions, teaching small groups of 5-8 students. These sessions will cover topics learned in class the previous week to support children with gaps in their learning. This role is ideal for a graduate aiming to pursue a career as a primary teacher, offering valuable teaching experience alongside whole-class support.
The Academy
This large all-through academy is based in Edgware, with good local transport links and is a popular choice for families in the area. The specially designed building provides facilities for younger children, with the benefits of resources from the attached secondary academy. The primary academy has a strong leadership team, and staff and pupils enjoy a community atmosphere. There are good opportunities for professional development, including teacher training, making it a great option for graduates and those looking to further their careers in education.
The school welcomes applications from individuals with previous experience or passionate, committed newcomers to the sector. All roles are full-time, offered on a contract basis from September 2023 to July 2024.
A group interview day will be held at the academy on Tuesday 10th June and Tuesday 17th June, where senior leaders will meet all shortlisted candidates.
To be considered, you must complete the registration process with Philosophy Education and be available on either the 10th or 17th of June to attend the school.
If interested, please apply ASAP with an up-to-date CV outlining your skills and experience. We aim to respond within three working days. Due to high volume, individual enquiries may not always receive a reply. If you haven't heard within this timeframe, your application was unsuccessful.
