Senior Medical Writer - Medical Communications
Location: London (2 days in the office)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a flourishing Editorial team. As a member of the scientific team, you will have the chance to shape your role to fit your strengths and be instrumental in the ongoing development and growth of the division. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects across the full spectrum of medical communications activities, including congress activities, advisory boards, symposia, training materials, websites, and digital apps. Key therapy areas include oncology, rare diseases, cardiovascular and obesity.

Role & Responsibilities
* Have an extensive scientific understanding and knowledge of the key therapy areas in which you support, including landscape, product, competitors, and suitable messaging for the disease area
* Serve as the medical writing representative on assigned project teams, providing proactive support to project leadership for planning efficient work plans and timelines for medical writing deliverables
* Translate science with integrity, empathy, and impact
* Contribute to the development of product strategy, scientific messaging and statements
* Be responsible for content developed by yourself and other writers on the team
* Ensure communication and educational messages are relevant, actionable and demonstrate a positive impact on patient outcomes
* Lead assigned projects or groups of projects to ensure delivery to deadline and budget
* Ensure document content and style adhere to regulatory guidelines and comply with house or client SOPs and style guidelines
* Coach others in developing content for a diverse range of medical communications projects
* Provide motivation and guidance, empowering colleagues to deliver and encouraging individual ownership
* Assist the client services team by proactive discussion of any changes in project specification/deadline that impact budgets and forecasts
Requirements
* Degree in science (life science preferred); PhD or MSc desirable
* Scientific knowledge and understanding
* Proficiency in delivering high-quality written work
* Able to attend international events
* High level of drive, motivation, and initiative
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Awareness of industry guidelines and best practice and their application
* Experience working in Medical Communications (agency)
