Job Title : Procurement Support Controller
Location : Peterborough, UK
Contract / Shift: Permanent, with options for Full-Time or Part-Time hours – see below in additional information.
Join our teams as a Procurement Support Controller and have an important part in driving the success and profitability of AB Agri’s raw material procurement department. You will be part of the procurement support team, collaborating closely with various departments to streamline pricing activities and support associated tasks.
Perhaps you are a recent graduate with a genuine interest in procurement and aspirations for career progression, or someone who is seeking part-time employment, if you are motivated, and goal orientated and ready to contribute to our existing team, then this could be the role for you.
Some of the role objectives:
1. Produce timely and accurate customer pricing and feed sales quotations.
2. Monitor key market drivers and commodity price volatility, engaging confidently with stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with the formulation team to ensure the relevance of feed formulations.
4. Produce financial customer book reconciliations accurately and promptly.
5. Maintain a database of market prices to monitor purchase performance and traded data.
6. Input raw material purchase contracts and sales allocations onto the ERP system.
7. Gain a broad understanding of procurement support function tasks to facilitate cross -training and coverage.
About you:
8. Ideally Degree qualified or equivalent
9. Knowledge and understanding of commodity markets, or willingness to learn.
10. Highly numerate and commercially aware
11. Previous experience in customer or supplier relationships
12. Proficiency in Microsoft products, mainly Excel.
13. Desire to gain industry qualification (CIPS – Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) Desirable
Additional Information:
For Full-Time roles, a minimum of two days per week onsite is required, and for Part-Time roles, a minimum of three days per week onsite is expected.
