Job Description
We are looking for HPC Team Leader to join our global HPC team!
Reporting to the Data Center IT Services Manager, you will take on a key role in our organization and make a significant impact on our HPC and Cloud environment. In this role, you will work closely with our team to develop our DevOps environment and lead the transition from older IT Ops approaches into a more Agile way of working.
You will be responsible for demonstrating best practices and coaching and developing our existing staff. As a senior member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technology infrastructure and ensuring its smooth operation. With a proven track record across a wide range of activities connected to HPC and Cloud, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and keeping our organization at the cutting edge of technology.

Principle Accountabilities
1. Mentor and coach members of the team.
2. Improve and develop our systems, technology, and infrastructure, alongside providing third line technical support;
3. Make sure the operational maintenance model, and the tools used, are efficient and well-designed.
4. Understanding the client’s needs and converting this into technical solutions is important as well as the continued stability, availability, and performance of the platforms.
Qualifications
Degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related computing subjects.
Skills and Competencies
Essential
5. 3 – 5 years of leadership experience.
6. Minimum of five years’ experience in relevant fields.
7. Extensive levels of Linux administration, preferably in an HPC environment
8. Good experience with Agile Project Management
9. Knowledge in FAI, Puppet and Zabbix
10. ITIL Foundation level certification
11. Fast and effective problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work
12. An enthusiastic attitude towards learning and flexibility to adapt to new challenges or changes in direction
13. The ability to define and manage project deadlines
14. Effective communication
Desirable
15. High level DevOps methodologies understanding
16. Knowledge of some of the following: Ansible, OpenStack, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Docker, etc.
17. Scripting and automation
18. Cloud administration experience
19. Virtualization knowledge and experience
20. Experience in hardware maintenance (Storage/CPU/GPU)
