Aston University is seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the expanded Midlands SPARK Innovation Accelerator. This initiative extends Stanford University's renowned SPARK Preclinical Accelerator Programme, operating in over 60 locations worldwide. The successful candidate will manage and deliver translational and preclinical development projects led by academics, clinicians, and industry partners from 15 Midlands universities.
The role involves ensuring projects have strong regulatory strategies, focusing on diagnostic technologies and compliance with the In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR) and other international standards. The Programme Coordinator will facilitate project alignment with regulatory frameworks and commercialization pathways, preparing them for investor engagement and market entry. Operational coordination and stakeholder management are essential to drive progress and foster collaboration between academic and commercial teams. Occasional travel across the Midlands will support programme activities and relationship building with partner institutions.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of translational research, preclinical development, and regulatory requirements for diagnostic technologies. Experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational management is essential, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment is also important.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to advancing healthcare technologies and impactful translational research across the Midlands.
