The Research Associate is responsible for monoclonal antibody manufacture using the recombinant antibody process and production of cell line products. This is an exciting opportunity to have an immediate impact within the team and support researchers worldwide to discover more, faster!
This position reports to the Production Manager and is part of the Cell Sciences In-House Manufacturing team in Cambridge. It is an on-site role. Abcam aims to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting all aspects of recombinant antibody process for monoclonal antibody manufacture, including plasmid preparation, transfection, and affinity purification.
* Assisting in resuscitation, subculture, and cryopreservation of cell lines for product production.
* Supporting process improvement activities to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Essential requirements:
* Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and/or affinity purification.
* Understanding of recombinant antibody manufacture processes.
* BSc. and/or MSc. in a Life Sciences discipline.
Preferred additional experience:
* Use of ERP systems.
* HPLC or LCMS techniques.
