The Role
The Head of Sourcing, Ethical and Sustainability role at Superdry involves overseeing the company's global sourcing strategy, ensuring practices align with high ethical and environmental standards. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, driving responsible sourcing initiatives, and embedding sustainability into the supply chain, from materials to manufacturing.
This leadership role aligns commercial objectives with corporate responsibility goals, promoting transparency, traceability, and positive impacts for people and the planet.
You Will
1. Develop and implement a global sourcing and sustainability strategy supporting business and supply chain objectives.
2. Lead and inspire sourcing, sustainability, and ethical functions to achieve strategic goals.
3. Collaborate across departments to introduce innovation and change, leveraging industry advantages.
4. Manage a market-leading supply base, ensuring value and compliance with ethical standards.
5. Ensure supply base adheres to sustainability and ethical standards, integrating automation where appropriate.
6. Lead on ethical sourcing, modern slavery, and human rights issues.
7. Communicate integrity on sustainability and ethical trading, aligning with the green claims code.
8. Maintain and update policies related to sustainability and human rights, ensuring legal compliance.
9. Support cost efficiencies through supplier negotiations and cost analysis.
10. Oversee project delivery, measure impacts, and report KPIs transparently.
11. Report on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and market developments.
12. Analyze global demands and market trends to capitalize on opportunities.
13. Deliver annual sustainability reports aligned with ESG and TCFD frameworks.
14. Represent Superdry in the industry, sharing progress and initiatives.
15. Oversee management of global offices in Hong Kong, Turkey, and India.
You Are
1. An experienced senior leader with at least 3 years in the industry, leading diverse teams with impactful results.
2. Energetic, entrepreneurial, and empathetic to brand values.
3. Significant sourcing experience in apparel, with strong negotiation skills.
4. An inspiring people leader fostering high performance and motivation.
5. Politically savvy with effective influencing skills.
6. Problem solver with global company experience.
7. Strategic, detail-oriented, and tactically capable.
8. Capable of building effective relationships and influencing stakeholders.
9. Highly organized, managing extensive communication.
10. Willing to travel internationally and relocate if necessary.
