Overview
Upper Marr Community Nursing Team – Band 5 Community Staff Nurse. Hours: 37 hours per week, weekend cover required due to service demands. Location: Upper Marr Community Nursing Team – covering Huntly and Alford bases. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly motivated Community Nurse to work within the Upper Marr Community Nursing Team. The post is part of the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership and offers the ability to work across all four Upper Marr Community Nurse bases in line with service requirements. The successful candidate will be accountable for safe and effective person-centred care working alongside the interdisciplinary team.
It is essential to demonstrate high quality communication and interpersonal skills, and to be a skilled and confident lone worker with community working experience. A full current driver’s licence and access to a car are required; a pool car may be available for visits.
Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday 24th September 2025.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe, effective, person-centred nursing care within the community setting.
* Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the local population.
* Function as a confident lone worker in community-based roles and utilise appropriate clinical judgement.
* Ensure high standards of communication and documentation in line with local policies.
Qualifications
* Qualified/active registered nurse (Band 5 level).
* Full current driver’s licence and car owner/access to a car.
* Experience in community nursing and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
