On DemandDivision
The On-Demand business isa specialist medical supply business that sources and distributespharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumable supplies tohealthcare professionals in over 160 countries worldwide. We haveoffices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and New Zealand. The company'smain divisions encompass everything from International Salesthrough Sales to NGO's and Charities, Clinical Trials Supply,Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and thestorage and distribution of medical products and devices for thirdparties.
Objective:
The Supply Chain Specialist willwork alongside the UK Buying Lead to protect and grow theprocurement margin for Durbin PLC. The Supply Chain Specialist willplay a key role participating in cross-functional teams to supportglobal supplier evaluation and selection to optimise company-wideprocurement initiatives within the assigned category. Someflexibility is required as the role may change in line with theneeds of the business as the marketplaceevolves.

Communication skills, anability to influence a variety of colleagues and the capability todrive value from analytics is essential. Successful candidates mustbe able work to effectively in a rapidly changing environment andmeet ongoing and overlappingdeadlines
Main duties andResponsibilities:
* Responsiblefor placement and maintenance of purchase orders in Access SupplyChain covering both stocked/non-stockedlines.
* Forecasting with approvedsuppliers.
* Lead the sourcing function whereappropriate.
* Managing end to end collaborationwith all relevant parties from point of order to point ofdelivery/fulfilment (Durbin stock management and Procurementprocesses)
* Ensure Durbin stock is managedefficiently to guarantee customer demand is always met and tomitigate against obsolete stock.
* Creating andproviding feedback on monthly reports.
* Supportmanager to ensure department procurement targets are achieved eachmonth.
* Follow best practice source to payprocess and drive processcreation/improvement
* Data management, lead theupload and maintenance of all supplier product price files toensure Access Supply Chain offers the best and most up to dateinformation.
* Conduct ad hoc project requests inline with manager to include price comparisonexercises.
* Escalate all issues in a timelymanner and present (where possible)solutions.
* Work closely with all other membersof procurement team and cross functional teams to effectively runthe day to day operations of Durbin stock management andprocurement processes.
* Management of keyinternal stakeholders, Operations, Quality, Finance,HR
* Ensure relationshipswith suppliers are maintained to the higheststandards.
* Work with team in development anddiscussion of best processes.
* Oversee theefficient management of stock to guarantee customer demand isalways met. Ensure Durbin UK are partnering with high qualityvendors, guaranteeing access to high quality products andcontinuity of supply for patients
* Routineanalysis of competitors/marketactivity
* Responsible for building upon andcontinuously implementing key risk mitigation strategies for stockand access to product
* Report on core areasmonthly
* Champion of continuous processimprovement
