Overview
Edgewick Community Primary School is a vibrant, two-form entry school for children aged 3–11. We are committed to high standards for both staff and pupils and pride ourselves on delivering a rich, inclusive curriculum with a strong emphasis on Early Years practice.
We are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Reception. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a passion for supporting young learners, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Hours and Salary
Hours/Weeks: 35 hours per week term time plus training days (39 weeks). 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
Salary range: Grade 3 £20,675 actual salary per annum (£25,185 full-time equivalent).
Responsibilities
* Support learning and development in the Reception class, with emphasis on EYFS.
* Assist with planning and delivering activities to meet individual and group needs.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to an inclusive, positive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in EYFS or a strong desire to develop in this area.
* A proactive, flexible, and positive approach.
* Ability to use initiative and follow directions.
* A sense of fun and a genuine passion for working with children.
* Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
